Karin Vene takes up position as CEO of JLS

As of January 2010, the position of CEO at communication bureau Jugaste, Liiva and Seimann (JLS) has been taken up by Karin Vene, who has worked in the burea since the beginning of 2006.
Karin Vene has been a consultant to several private and public sector organizations, she has international experience from the European Commission and UN and has obtained a master's degree in communication management at the University of Tartu.
"Karin is definitely one of the best communication experts of the new generation, who in addition to consulting has shown great leadership skills," said Aimar Jugaste, partner of JLS.
The three founding partners - Aimar Jugaste, Kristi Liiva and Kristina Seimann - will continue participating in the strategic management of the company. During JLS's activities, the partners have created a team consisting of 12 employees, whose main competences include a focus on strategic communication management. In 2009, this competence was further supplemented when Gerrit Mäesalu, who has a background in the public sector, and Kai-Riin Meri, who has a background in the banking sector, joined the bureau as chief consultants. A partnership with the sales promotion agency Momentum also brought the experienced Eva Palu into the team, in order to provide Momentum's clients with public relations services and vice versa. "Our goal is to ensure high client satisfaction and JLS's position in the market as an expert in strategic communication and full provider of communication related services," said Karin Vene.
At the end of the transitionary period, which began in November 2009, the position of CEO will be taken over by Karin Vene from Kristi Liiva, who will start work in the international office of Swedbank in Stockholm, who has been a long-time partner of JLS.
JLS's revenue in 2008 was nearly 10 million EEK. During its four years in activity, JLS's has risen amongst the top level public relations bureaus in Estonia, in both the volume of the client portfolio, number of employees and financial indicators, while also being one of the youngest bureaus on the market. Amongst JLS's clients are such reputable companies as Saku Brewery, Rakvere Meat Processing Plant, Telekom Group with EMT, Elion and MicroLink, Eesti Energia, British American Tobacco, Microsoft, Marsh, Premia Foods, SmartPOST, the Estonian Ski Association etc.
In the summer of 2005, Communication bureau Jugaste, Liiva and Seimann was founded by equal partners Aimar Jugaste, Kristi Liiva and Kristina Seimann, who have experience in pr-related activities on the management level in different organizations for over 15 years.
